Writing for the upcoming SSS competitions? Join us as we dive deep into writing a competitive grant and answer your questions prior to the USDE release of the official RFP. Hosts Amy Verlanic & Sari Byerly provide expert insight and advice as you begin to draft your grant.

 

Team-Based Strengthfinders Workshop

This session is designed to introduce TRIO professionals and teams to the StrengthsFinder Assessment tool, help them understand how to utilize the information from the reports, improve communication and reduce conflict, maximize engagement, and help their team to thrive through mutual goal setting.

Upon Completion, participants will:

  • Implement strength-based goals into their professional sphere

How to Develop Alumni Engagement

Effective alumni engagement can have tremendous benefits for your alum and the current participants in your project. In this pre-conference workshop, attendees will learn about and discuss best practices and opportunities for alumni engagement. Attendees will hear from guest speakers about alumni initiatives at the state, regional, and national levels, and how their project can connect and contribute to those efforts. Finally, time will be devoted for attendees to develop a plan to increase alumni engagement within their project.
