2019 NAEOP Conference: Creating Transformative Partnerships
October 20-23, 2019
Coeur d'Alene, ID
The 2019 NAEOP Conference will be held October 20-23 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, ID. The planning committee has been hard at work, looking to build off the successes of last year’s conference. This year’s conference promises to be another outstanding professional development opportunity.
The theme of the 2019 NAEOP Conference is “Creating Transformative Partnerships.” I am pleased to announce that Robert J. McCann, PhD, President and CEO of Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, will deliver our keynote address. Dr. McCann’s leadership has been instrumental in the fight to end homelessness in Spokane.
I am also pleased to announce a partnership with the school psychology program at Gonzaga University (GU) that will enable us to host our Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) at GU this year. The ELI co-chairs have been working with the director of the school psychology program to develop a curriculum that will transform the participants as leaders. I would strongly encourage eligible, interested TRIO professionals to apply.
Other noteworthy aspects of the conference include a TRIO SSS grant proposal “polishing” pre-conference workshop, exciting excursions and networking dinners, and our annual scholarship luncheon, which is always a highlight of the conference. New information will be added to the conference webpages as it becomes available, so please continue to check back regularly.
I look forward to seeing you in Coeur d’Alene this October for a memorable conference. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity you have given me to serve our region as president for the past two years.
